ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑ ΕRASMUS :PRINT3D (Promoting Inclusion Through Educational 3D-printing)

Το PRINT3D (Promoting Inclusion Through Educational 3D-printing) είναι ένα πρόγραμμα Erasmus της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.Σκοπός του είναι η προώθηση της συμμετοχής μαθητών με προβλήματα όρασης στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία μέσω της αξιοποίησης της τεχνολογίας της τρισδιάστατης εκτύπωσης.

Για την εξυπηρέτηση του σκοπού αυτού διοργανώνονται σεμινάρια και εργαστήρια, που θα έχουν ως τελικό  αποτέλεσμα την έκδοση βιβλίου και εγχειριδίου με αυτό το περιεχόμενο.

Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν εκπαιδευτικοί οργανισμοί από την Ισπανία, την Ελλάδα και τη Λετονία, το Κέντρο Εκπαίδευσης και Αποκαταστάσεως Τυφλών της Ελλάδας και το Εθνικό Ινστιτούτο Τυφλών, Ατόμων με προβλήματα όρασης και Κωφάλαλων της Ισλανδίας.

 

Η συμμετοχή του Σχολείου μας στο παραπάνω πρόγραμμα έχει ως αποτέλεσμα τη διαρκή εκπαίδευση και εξοικείωση του διδακτικού προσωπικού με τις νέες τεχνολογίες (τρισδιάστατη εκτύπωση) και με τα παιδαγωγικά οφέλη που προσφέρουν.

 

Ακόμη, οι μαθητές μας ευαισθητοποιούνται, συνεργάζονται και δημιουργούν καινοτόμες κατασκευές με σκοπό την αξιοποίησή τους από συνομήλικούς τους με προβλήματα όρασης.

JUNE 2019. VALENCIA MEETING

Ellinoagliki Agogi successfully completed the Erasmus+ Program «PRINT3D: Promoting Inclusion Through Educational 3D Printing». Aim of this program was to introduce 3D printing technology in schools with special focus on the needs of visually impaired or blind people and, more specifically, students. Collaborating on this project were specialty teachers in the subjects of IT and English, alongside school teachers who first got acquainted with this new technology as well as familiarised themselves on the topic of Service Learning to promote inclusion in the educational environment. The implementation resulted in the production of 5 tactile maps and other 3D objects to cater for the educational needs of students with visual impairment.

 

 

The tactile map of the area surrounding the Olympic Stadium, including our school and the “Irini” train station providing information on streets, Olympic facilities and the surrounding area.

 

The tactile map of the Acropolis with a memo in Braille which allows people with visual impairment to find and identify the basic monuments on the Acropolis rock.

The tactile map of various Mediterranean islands depicting their topography. With the sense of touch, the morphology of the landscape comes to life.

Furthermore, students and staff printed the world renowned Caryatids of the Erechtheion. The maquette was set up exactly as they are displayed in the Acropolis museum and detachable.

Finally, our school’s participation in this project gave students the idea to print a 3D map of Europe.

The final outcomes of this project were presented in Valencia on the 13^th and 14^th of June 2019.

Apart from meeting the goals of this project, and upon its successful completion, 3D printing opens new horizons in education. This technology can be incorporated in many more subjects (Maths, Science, Geography, History to name a few) providing students with even more stimuli, skills and motivation to learn. The future is theirs!
